For when we were weak, at the appointed time, Christ died for the wicked.
For hardly will one die for a righteous man, yet perhaps for a good man, some might even dare to die.
But God exhibited His self sacrificing love toward us, in that while we were still living in sin, Christ died for us.
How much more then, now that we have been pardoned through His Blood, shall we be saved from God’s wrath through Him?
For if when we were ENEMIES of God, we were RECONCILED to Him by the death of His Son, how much more— now being reconciled— shall we be saved by His life.
And not only this, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.
And YOU He made ALIVE, who were DEAD in your trespasses and sins,
In which you once walked according to the ways of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air—satan—the spirit who now works in the children of disobedience, among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.
But God, who is RICH in mercy, because of His GREAT love with which He loved us,
Even when we were DEAD in our trespasses, made us ALIVE together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come, He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
If then you were RAISED with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.
Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.
For you died—to sin, to this world, to the flesh—, and your life [eternal] is hidden with Christ in God.
When Christ, who is OUR LIFE appears, then you also will appear with Him in GLORY.
